A Noiseless, Patient Spider
by: Walt Whitman
This poem is about a spider, that is looking at the world around him and sees it's immense size but proceeds without fear. He relates this to people saying that we are small compared to this huge world, but we should proceed without fear, saying that there are organisms smaller than us that do the same thing. This is a great metaphor for life.
Once again, Meg, great picture! This poem sounds very profound. I liked poems I read by him too.
